A YouTube playlist downloader saves you from opening fifty tabs. Paste a playlist link into Y-Download – the address of a youtube.com/playlist?list= page, or any video link that carries a &list= parameter – and the whole playlist is read in a couple of seconds. You get a clean list of every video in it, up to 500 entries, each with its title, duration, channel and thumbnail, so you can see at a glance what you are about to download and skip the parts you do not need.
Each entry has its own MP3 and MP4 buttons. Click MP3 to convert that video to 320 kbps audio with the title, channel and cover art embedded, or MP4 to get the best compatible video quality up to 1080p. The file is prepared on our servers with a progress bar right next to the video, and a Save button appears when it is ready. Because every download is handled per video, you can mix formats within the same playlist – MP3 for the music, MP4 for the interviews – and take only the tracks you actually want from a 200-video collection.
Any public playlist works: a lecture series, a channel's album playlist, a podcast season or a list you built yourself and set to public. Y-Download runs in the browser on iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux, needs no account and has no daily limit. Videos that have been deleted or made private appear as unavailable instead of breaking the list, and every file you generate is removed from our servers after 30 minutes. The one thing it cannot do yet is bundle the whole playlist into a single ZIP – that is planned; for now downloads are one file per video.
