Open the playlist on YouTube and copy its URL from the address bar. It looks like youtube.com/playlist?list=PL… – a video link that contains &list= works too, and so do music.youtube.com playlist links. In the app, use Share → Copy link on the playlist page.

Public playlists: youtube.com/playlist?list=..., video links that contain &list=, and music.youtube.com playlist links. Mixes and radio playlists (ids starting with RD), Watch Later and Liked Videos cannot be read because YouTube only shows them to a signed-in account.
The video was deleted, made private, or restricted in a way we cannot access – members-only videos, age-restricted videos and live streams that have not ended yet fall into this group. The rest of the playlist downloads normally.
Y-Download reads the first 500 videos of a playlist. Individual videos can be up to 4 hours long. There is no limit on how many playlists you process or how many files you download, and no account is needed.
Not directly. Those lists are private to your account, and Y-Download never asks you to sign in. The workaround: on YouTube, create a new playlist, add the videos you want, set its visibility to public, then paste its link here. You can make it private again afterwards.
Yes. You can download YouTube playlists on a phone just as on a desktop: open the page in Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android, paste the playlist link and tap MP3 or MP4 on each video. Saved files land in the Files app or your Downloads folder. On Android you can install Y-Download as an app and share playlists to it straight from YouTube.
Only download playlists whose content you own, that is released under a permissive license such as Creative Commons, or where the creator has given you permission. Downloading other people's copyrighted videos without permission may breach YouTube's terms and copyright law. Y-Download is a tool; how you use it is your responsibility.
